Redbet Review

RedBet have come into my consciousness in recent months because of a heavy advertising campaign. My impression of them was that they were a strong bookmaker for mainland European customers but because...
they were targeting me as a UK player I just had to check them out. Here’s what I found when I looked to sign up.

Redbet Registration

When I landed on the main site I was first taken to the registration page. Personally I like to have a look around before I commit and if you’re like me, it’s very easy to click on the link marked ‘sports’ and spend some time on the main site. Don’t worry though as it’s easy to navigate back to a sign up page that features a very simple, four step sign up process. The first two forms require personal details such as date of birth and address and then it’s a matter of choosing a password and preferred currency. After verification via my passport I was welcomed on board. It was a thorough procedure but still very quick and it gets this Redbet review off to a sound start. This really is a very simple site to navigate around: I like the design which features simple yet striking colours but perhaps more importantly, it was easy to move around and find out where I needed to be. The prominent buttons at the top left of the home page took me to the Redbet sportsbook which, in turn, was laid out in a logical order. Like most great online bookies, they list their popular sports at the top of the page with horse racing and football dominating but it’s easy to move beyond that and find a full A to Z listing. What I particularly like about this section of the Redbet review is the fact that all of the buttons are so prominent. There are no tiny links hidden away anywhere so, for example, if you want to contact customer services there is a big support button where you would expect it to be at the top right of the home page. In summary, Redbet add to a high overall ranking thanks to this easy to navigate set up.

Safety, Licensing and Other Information

Details About the Bookie
  • Established: 2003
  • Company: Evoke Gaming Ltd.
  • Licence: Available
  • Live chat: Yes
  • Email: support-en@redbet.com
  • Customer support: 24/7
  • Address: Tagliaferro Business Centre, level 7, High Street, Sliema SLM 1549, Malta
It was particularly interesting to note that when I first logged on to the Redbet site, I had to confirm that I was over 18 before I could proceed. That was a good early sign and although this continues to come up again when you’re not logged in, it does at least show that the operator is serious when it comes to keeping minors away from the site. That serious attitude extends to the licensing information which is shown prominently at the bottom of the home page. Details of their accreditation with the UK Gambling authorities are also disclosed so Redbet are very open about their credentials and that’s good to see. All transactions are carried out securely and the https prefix is clearly shown on all pages so this is another section where Redbet scores really well.

Redbet Bonuses and Promotions

This is the section that most readers will come to first and that’s understandable as new players will want to claim an early bonus and then look to move on and take advantage of some ongoing offers. When we carried out this Redbet review in September 2018, the company was in the process of upgrading their site. A new sport had just been added to their list of markets and the cashout feature was also being improved. As part of those improvements, Redbet were also working on their offers and promotions for both new and existing customers. Therefore, there are no current offers but there is definite value in long term odds in all sporting markets so, while you can wait to see if this situation changes, it’s still a good time to get on board.

Betting Markets for UK Players

Redbet has recently added horse racing to their sportsbook and that’s a big bonus for UK players. At a time when many bookies are excluding this, and greyhound racing, from their list of markets, this move is certain to attract more customers from Britain and beyond. Horse racing updates a set of markets that was already a good mix of popular sports along with some interesting niches too. This could also be a very good place to play if you like eSports and Redbet have recognised this growing area of the industry by producing a good set of betting options for the virtual world. Politics and entertainment bets are here too and while there are some interesting, so-called minority sports, the main focus is on the popular events such as football, tennis and now boxing bets. The operator covers this well with strong odds and a wide range of markets so this section of our Redbet review finishes on a positive note. Check out all the available betting markets.

About Live Betting

I mentioned those prominent red buttons on the homepage and one of those will take you directly to the bookie’s live betting section. The first thing to note is that while there is an obvious emphasis on football, Redbet also have a good range of in-play bets on the horses and that’s something that you don’t necessarily find with every bookmaker. The most current of events are shown right in the top middle of the home page so it’s easy to make a quick decision in terms of sports that you want to get involved in. I found this a comprehensive section and was also pleased to see that the strong Redbet prices were carried over to the live betting markets so this is another part of the Redbet review that ticks all the right boxes.

Deposits and Withdrawals from Redbet

Flexibility and a wide choice of funding methods should always help any sportsbook to build their customer base and while there are wider lists from elsewhere in the industry, there are enough providers here to suggest that everyone can get on board with Redbet. Naturally, this list starts with debit and credit cards that most of us will have access to while the most popular eWallets for iGaming – Skrill and Neteller payments – are also here. When you add in Zimpler and Trustly to that list then you have one of the better sets of online banking methods and this is great to see.

Customer Service

The support button is very easy to find at the top of the home page and there are a number of ways to get in touch if you need help. The first point to note is that the Frequently Asked questions section is very basic indeed. This really is betting 101 but not many of us use this option and it can be easily bypassed. The good news starts with the fact that Redbet’s customer services are on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the quickest way to get in touch is by using the live chat operator. I tested this as the first port of call for customer services and was able to speak to someone within seconds. For the shy ones that prefer to be a little more anonymous when seeking assistance, there is an email available and also a standard rate telephone number for those based within the UK. It’s quite rare to see a sportsbook publish a phone number but it’s there for those who prefer to use this method. I didn’t use the phone myself but I also sent an email request and got a response within 2 hours so I can conclude that this is a fast and efficient service and another area where Redbet are shown in a positive light.

Conclusion: What’s Behind my Ranking of 8.5?

I would have given the sportsbook a higher mark in this Redbet review had there been a welcome bonus and some ongoing promotions available at the time the assessment was carried out. As the site says however, there are upgrades going on as of September 2018 so we wait eagerly for that situation to change. For now, there are lots of positives so I’ve still marked Redbet quite highly and the best aspect of their operation is the value that you can find if you’re happy to sign up and settle in for a long term betting relationship. The odds are really strong here and we would urge anyone to look beyond the fact that they are not listed on the main odds comparison sites because we think this operator is competitive, particularly in the core sports such as football, horse racing and tennis. The back-ups are in place too with a good choice of payment options plus a selection of fast and effective customer services. Once the promotions come back in, there will be no downsides at all but it’s still a great time to get on board and to sign up with Redbet.
